Ore Disu: November is really in some ways a way to both appreciate what we've been able to accomplish so far, but to open up our doors for practitioners, curious guests, local residents to come and experience MOWAA, not as a pristine and fully finished product, but as something that is evolving.

Adrian Ellis: Hello, and welcome to The Three Bells. This podcast is part of the fourth season produced by AEA for the Global Cultural Districts Network. The focus is as always, the relationship between cultural and urban life, and the ways in which cultural life contributes to urban vitality, and vice versa. I'm Adrian Ellis, the chair of GCDN and the director of AEA Consulting. And I'm delighted to say that our guest today is Ore Disu. She is the director of the MOWAA Institute and MOWAA stands for the Museum of West African Art in Benin City in Nigeria.

And it's a fascinating project, one that I've had the privilege to at least have some involvement in over the last couple of years. And it's a project at a critical point, I think. We're approaching a critical point in its development. So I thought it would be fantastic to have Ore on the podcast to tell us about it, about plans ahead and about some of the wider issues that it is there to address and enhance. So Ore, thank you very much for coming. And I think I'm talking to you not in Benin City, but in the other side of the world is that right?

Ore Disu: Yes it is, Adrian. Thank you so much for having me. It's a real pleasure to be on the show this morning.
