Luisa Bravo: We need to have people that have open minds that can understand the complexity of what you are doing, that understand your dedication, that understand the long-term effects of your work. And even they do not agree with you, even if they do not fully support you, but they can still stand with you.

Stephanie Fortunato: Hello, and welcome to The Three Bells. This podcast is one of a series brought to you by AEA Consulting for the Global Cultural Districts Network, in which we explore what's happening around the world on those busy and sometimes congested intersections of cultural and urban life.

The series and supporting materials can be found at www.thethreebells.net. And if you like our content, please subscribe and give us a positive review on your podcast listening platform of choice. I'm your host, Stephanie Fortunato, Director of Special Projects for GCDN, and my guest today is Dr. Luisa Bravo.

Luisa is an urban planner, a designer, professor, public space scholar, public space activist. She's the founder and president of City Space Architecture — a non-profit organisation based in Bologna, Italy where the Public Space Museum Luisa directs is also located, and where many of Luisa's ongoing public programmes take place.

Luisa is one of the hardest working and most prolific creatives that I know, deeply engaged in all that she does. So, that makes introducing her succinctly kind of challenging. So I'm going to leave it there because she's also passionate about public space and I want to get to our conversation.

Ciao, Luisa. Welcome to The Three Bells!

Luisa Bravo: (laughs) Ciao, Stephanie. What a great introduction. Thank you very much.
